Following the launch of the new set of Cashlink cards featuring a racing yacht with a Bank of Valletta-branded spinnaker, BoV has also introduced a redesigned classic credit card range comprising the BoV Visa card and the BoV Mastercard.

The new BoV Visa and Mastercard feature the vibrant colours of traditional local themes.

The BoV Visa classic card depicts the historical 'gardjola' or watch-tower found on the bastions in Senglea while the BoV Mastercard bears the colourful images of a Luzzu (Maltese fishing boat).

The new cards will be issued to all new credit card applicants and card renewals as they fall due. BoV is offering all customers a Visa international debit card for free.

"We are removing both the initial and the annual fees on the BoV Cashlink Visa and the BoV Cashlink Electron to offer added value to customers," explained CEO Tonio Depasquale.

"This initiative is in line with our strategy of promoting cards as a straightforward and efficient means of payment. All our customers can now apply for their international debit card for free with the benefit of being able to access the funds in their current and savings accounts from anywhere in the world."

The BoV Cashlink Visa features higher daily withdrawal limits at ATMs and higher daily purchase limits when the card is used to pay for goods and services through an electronic point of sale network. The BoV Cashlink Visa and the BoV Cashlink Electron also feature the benefit of a free purchase protection insurance of 75 days for local purchases and 45 days for purchases effected abroad.

Customers may apply at any BoV branch, call the Customer Service Centre on 2131 2020 or visit www.bov.com.
