I refer to James George's letter (Malta-Sicily Fare Discount, May 7).

The 50 per cent discount is not applicable to the club class fare. This is in keeping with common practice, on both airlines and passenger ferries, to limit discounts to economy fares.

Mr George is incorrect when he states that "In none of their adverts is this fact mentioned". This is in fact clearly stated, on our flyer, in the conditions applicable to the 50 per cent discount in condition number 11: "This offer is not applicable on club class..." Our advert in the media also clearly invites clients to obtain "further information" or "conditions apply". Mr George's last paragraph is both unnecessary and incorrect in the widest sense of the word.
