Games our parents and grandparents used to play will be returning to Hastings Gardens on May 17 in Arti-Sport, an initiative of the Malta Sports Council and Heritage Malta, aimed at reviving traditional Maltese games while attracting young children to art.

After the games, which will include il-passju and ix-xixu, the children taking part will be taken to the Museum of Fine Arts for a treasure hunt for several works of art exhibited at the museum.

Education and Culture Minister Dolores Cristina said she hoped the initiative will be organised regularly to give more children an opportunity to discover the Maltese identity through the common heritage left by our forefathers.
