Passenger injured in Gzira car crash

A 20-year-old man from Mosta is in critical condition after a car crash in Mikelang Vassallo Street, Gzira, early this morning.

The man was a passenger in a Ford Fiesta which crashed into an electricity pole at about 3 a.m. Members of the Civil Protection Department were called to the scene to rescue him from the wreckage.

The car was being driven by a 19-year-old man from Mosta, who suffered slight injuries.

Magistrate Doreen Clarke is leading an inquiry. The police are conducting further investigations.
