Corpse found at sea
The corpse of a male immigrant was recovered by AFM divers from a cave in Delimara yesterday.
The drifting body was spotted by fisherman in a cove known as Il-Kalanka in the morning. The fishermen immediately reported the sighting to the officer on duty at the AFM's observation point in the vicinity. Rough seas, however, prevented divers from recovering the corpse, which had drifted into a cave. It was later, probably due to a lull, that another attempt was made, this time proving successful.
This was the third body recovered in just over 24 hours. Another two, probably belonging to illegal immigrants, were recovered on Tuesday and on Wednesday.
