Parents in the classroom

During February and March, the Kindergarten Section of the Mosta Primary School 'A' (part of the Maria Regina College) invited parents to take part in a Foundation for Educational Services programme called Ongiongella.

The programme consisted of six sessions in which parents, together with their own children, participated in hands-on class activities organised very professionally by kindergarten assistant Doris Galea and learning support assistant Miriam Vella.

Parents were encouraged to put aside their other commitments, step into their children's inclusive classroom and devote quality time to them. In addition, parents experienced how their children learn and develop holistically within the school environment. At the same time, the educators gained a different outlook with regards to the relationship between educators, learners and parents for the benefit of the children. A certificate was awarded to all participants.
