Six in court after Balzan fight

Five men and a 17-year-old girl were arraigned in court this afternoon following a fight which allegedly ocurred in Balzan late yesterday.

They were accused of seriously injuring Raymond Farrugia using a pointed instrument and breaching public order.

The accused are Kolya Bugeja, 20, Keith Bugeja, 25, Joseph Muscat, 20, Gaetano Schembri, 21, Etienne Bartolo, 27 and the girl, who cannot be named because she is a minor. All are from Birkirkara.

Keith Bugeja and Etienne Bartolo were also accused of relapsing. Muscat was accused of breaching bail conditions.

They pleaded not guilty and were granted bail against a personal guarantee of €2,000 each.
