The police have arrested three men and two women after finding a ‘significant’ amount of heroin and cocaine in a Sta Venera apartment.

The police said in a statement this afternoon that the discovery was made yesterday after days of surveillance by the Drug Squad during which drug trafficking was noted.

The arrested persons are aged between 17 and 33 and resident in Msida, Birkirkara and Sta Venera.

Magistrate A. Micallef Trigona is heading an inquiry.
