Church celebrations for Pentecost will be held on Saturday and Sunday.
These will include an activity for adolescents, a walk, a Eucharistic celebration with the Archbishop at Attard and a night vigil at Marsa.
The activity for adolescents and youngsters aged between 10 and 15 will be held at the Attard secondary school on Saturday at 2 p.m. It will be organised by the Focolari Movement. The climax of the activity will be a satellite link with Piazza Navona in Rome where 2,000 young people will be gathered to celebrate Pentecost.
After the event, the adolescents will walk to the residence of the Archbishop in Attard. Mgr Paul Cremona will then join them in a walk to Victor Vassallo Street where he will celebrate Mass.
Transport will be provided from Attard to near St Sebastian church, in Qormi from where the youths will take part in an aux flambeaux walk to a "youth village" at the Marsa Sports and Country Club where the night vigil will be held.
Various spiritual activities will be held in specially set up tents. Mgr Cremona will also be present.
Food will be provided by the Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS).
Archbishop Cremona will again join the youths on Sunday morning for prayers and breakfast provided by the ITS.
