International oil conference to be held in Malta
Malta will be hosting the World Fuel Oil Summit on May 29.
Enemalta Corporation said this one-day conference will be examining the trends and opportunities in the world fuel oil and bunker market.
The summit is being organised by a leading consulting and cargo brokerage firm, Axelrod Energy Projects based in the US.
It is expected to attract a niche of leading fuel oil traders, market analysts and banking and financial executives. The conference programme will be discussing a range of topics such as petroleum prices, oil storage, fuel oil market growth and regional demand across the world.
Enemalta chairman Alexander Tranter said: "Enemalta is extremely honoured to host a number of international high calibre oil experts who will be discussing the latest developments in this particular oil sector. This event has particular importance and relevance to Malta since both our power stations are mainly dependent on fuel oil to generate electricity."
Delegates from different parts of the world will be given the opportunity to visit Enemalta's underground storage network based at Ħas-Saptan.
Further information on the summit, which will take place at the InterContinental Hotel in St Julians, can be obtained from the conference website www.worldfueloilsummit.com.
