Executive chairman for ADT

The Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Communications, Austin Gatt yesterday appointed Simon Vella as executive chairman of the Malta Transport Authority (ADT).

He will be assisted by David Stellini, who will be serving as deputy chairman.

The new ADT board also includes directors Chris Degiorgio, Malcolm Custò, Winston Zahra Jr, Veronica Zammit Tabona and Helen Camilleri.

To improve the oversight of road building and maintenance, a new board has been set up within the ADT to oversee the business of the National Infrastructure Directorate, responsible for roads.

This board will be chaired by Joe Fenech Conti who will, in turn, be assisted by deputy chairman John Borg.

It will also include directors Sammy Rapa, Jonathan Vella and Ray Busuttil.
