Corpse found off Delimara

An AFM patrol boat this evening recovered the corpse of a man, who appeared to be African, floating some miles off Delimara.

The man had been wearing jeans, a jacket and a life vest.

Magistrate Antonio Micallef Trigona opened an inquiry. An autopsy will be held tomorrow.

Illegal immigrants (I.M.s) keep on dying and Europe just does practically nothing to stop this, except criticise us Maltese for not having the financial resources to keep them well cared for and after our boys risk their lives to save the I.M.'s from their fate. It seems that there is a lot of money in this business while it seems that Libya's clout, coming from its precious black gold, is unshakeable. The I.M.s leave the Libyan shores after paying their life savings to the corrupt Libyans then die in the blue Mediterranean sea. Please EU, UN, whoever, stop this massacre.
