I thank The Times for publishing my letter titled Public Nuisance on Friday, May 2 regarding a billboard placed on the pavement. The offending billboard was not there on Saturday morning.
There are some observations that come out of this, and unfortunately, many other trivial, similar situations. The first one is that the billboard should not have been there; so why put it there? During the weeks that it was there, how is it that no one in authority took any action to remove it? Why did it have to take a letter in a daily? This also shows that the public should speak up and point out such irresponsible actions.
However, the immediate action taken is appreciated. A "thank you" goes to all concerned.
