A 41-year-old man from Birkirkara was yesterday given a six-month suspended jail term for two years after pleading guilty to a number of charges when arraigned in front of Magistrate Doreen Clarke.

Raymond Abela was accused by police inspectors Elton Taliana and Nikolai Sant of resisting police orders, injuring, threatening or offending police officers, disobeying police orders, using vulgar language, being in possession of a pointed instrument and breaching the peace.
