It is quite amusing that our national policy is moving towards preventive healthcare measures while we are still witnessing smoking in public places, especially in small bars in entertainment areas.

This is clearly in breach of the Smoking in Premises Open to the Public Regulations (LN 414 of 2004) which came into force in October 2004. Isn't this discrimination towards people suffering from conditions such as asthma and seasonal allergies? Can the Department of Public Health and the Police Commissioner enlighten us on the matter?
