Citadel launches yacht, pleasure craft policy

Citadel Insurance plc has launched its new upgraded yacht and pleasure craft insurance policy, offering an even wider comprehensive cover, with added benefits, at competitive rates.

Citadel has continued to expand its presence on the market, including the marine sector, and has further revamped its existing yacht and pleasure craft insurance policy to enhance the existing package's flexibility. The policy provides cover for material damage to the hull, gear and equipment as well as third party liability insurance cover. The client may opt to take out third party liability cover only.

Under the policy, Citadel is offering competitive rates to owners with a clean claims experience over the past three years. Reduced rates are also applicable to clients with a nautical licence or Yacht Master's Certificate. The policy also provides cover for personal effects and personal accident, use of the boat during the laid-up period, third party liability limit of €470,000 (Lm201,771) and a marina mooring benefit.

Additional benefits include the option of the insured to purchase 'no claim discount' protection.
