A 60-year-old worker from Birkirkara is in a critical condition after he was injured while working at a house in Locker Street, Sliema, yesterday afternoon, the police said.

Equipment being used at the house fell on the worker who was downstairs at the time. An ambulance rushed the man to hospital where he was certified to be in danger of losing his life.

Duty magistrate Audrey Demicoli has appointed experts to help in an inquiry.
