Anti-hunting message painted on Victoria Lines

A section of wall on the Victoria Lines was daubed with anti-hunting graffiti on Wednesday, the hunters' federation (FKNK) reported yesterday.

The Ministry for Resources and Rural Affairs deplored what it said was a criminal act and appointed a number of people to restore the defaced wall.

The FKNK charged that the act of vandalism was "a vile attempt to undermine Maltese culture and in particular legal and traditional hunting and trapping in Malta and Gozo".

Yesterday the FKNK organised the first of a series of outings "that will follow as necessary around the country that belongs to the Maltese and Gozitans".

The comment written does not ring true to the thinking of the anti-hunting people. More, it sounds like the scaremongering noises from the other side.

This is selfish destruction of property. Not something one would generally see from those who strive to encourage the appreciation of the environment.

Then again, the BirdLife folks *might* also have torched their own cars too...

Yes, like we don't know which lot REALLY did that!

Get used to it! Hunting in spring is OVER!!!!!

The only entertaining thing about the whole thing is the great length, whoever did it, went to portraying that he's NOT a hunter... one should appreciate the Green spray used. This is totally immature, only displayed from certain factions of the population. The type who throws burnt paint on the Bombi !!

Whoever did this is either an idiot (apart from being an act of vandalism, the abolition of hunting is not about the taking away of private land), or else is someone who wants to smear the anti-hunting lobby.

Such acts of senseless vandalism show the level of immaturity, selfishness and stupidity that still persists in a few thugs in Malta.
