Jethro Camilleri, 19 of Victoria was granted bail this morning after having been accused of stealing cash and other items from a car in Victoria yesterday afternoon.

The police in a statement said the alleged case happened shortly after 7 p.m. A man noticed that somebody was stealing from his car, but the thief escaped in another car, carrying cash, computer and hi-fi equipment, and personal items.

The alleged thief and his car were later found at Fontana while the stolen items were found elsewhere.

Magistrate Anthony Ellul granted the accused bail on a personal guarantee of €2,000, among other conditions.

Police inspectors Josric Mifsud and Frank Tabone led the prosecution.
