Two men, aged 21 and 22, were detained by members of the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) after they were found in possession of cannabis resin, the AFM said yesterday. The search was carried out during a vehicle checkpoint at Ċirkewwa on Wednesday. A search of the vehicle the two men were in yielded no further illegal items, the AFM added.

The two were handed over to the Police Drug Squad.
