Updated: Appointments at the OPM
Josephine Vassallo has been appointed personal secretary to the Prime Minister after having served as press secretary for 18 months.
Her former post has been assumed by Gordon Pisani, whose official title is Head of Government Communications.
The Labour Party in a statement criticized Mr Pisani’s appointment.
It observed that whereas in the post-election mass meeting Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi had promised to head a government for all the Maltese, he had now appointed as his press secretary the person who had been PN information director. Mr Pisani had been among those who helped Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando disrupt a televised press conference which was to have been given by Dr Sant before the election, the MLP said.
It all went to show that Dr Gonzi really had to be judged by his actions, and not what he said, the MLP commented.

Isn't it ridiculous to even try and fathom the secretary to the Prime Minister being a member of the opposing party?
So whatever you say.. it have been the same. Sour Grapes..At least Gonzi listened to the people and re shuffled his cabinet..
@Victor Laiviera - Give us an alternative to PN and we'll vote for them.. don't say MLP cause that's not an alternative.. (especially back then with Alfred Sant) .. MLP paroli fil-vojt biss.
