I am very pleased that my project - a nursing bed very beneficial to disabled homes, hospitals, sport clinics, hotels and other places - which I advertised in The Times was noticed by a business promoter in Pittsburgh, Davison Corporation, and now this nursing bed, that cuts nursing work by at least 50 per cent and avoids lifting disabled, injured or infirm persons, will be manufactured in the US.
Already contacts have been made and two large companies are involved in preliminary talks to manufacture and market the bed throughout the whole US and Canada, the largest and most developed countries in the world.
Preliminary pre-developments on the target work are nearly completed and in the next few weeks discussions on production process will start.
A 110V prototype, which is the voltage used in the US, is being shipped to Davison so that the manufacturers could be guided by the bed/bath, which has been improved in California to US standard in order to have UL approval, the standard required by US inspectors because CE approval of this type of product is not recognised in the US.
This success was due to the adverts and publicity that appeared in The Times.
