Tribali are back from a beautiful musical journey in Australia. They performed in the prestigious Blues and Roots festival, held in Byron Bay, East Coast which which was made possible by Jagged House Management.
This huge five-day festival, voted 15 times as the best festival in an award ceremony in the US last year, had an attendance of over 100,000 people and big artistes from around the world performed.
Tribali, comprising nine, performed three times on the Apra stage, where although as a band they were unknown, they managed to attract the attention of the crowd and also of Pete Nobile, who is the orginiser of the event. In fact in the press release, released in the official website of the festival, bluesfest. com.au., Mr Nobile commented: "The musical highpoints for me were so many and varied: The smaller stages had a number of amazing artistes: Tribali, Yunasi, Elliot Brood, and Jason Lowe - all incredible and the talk of the event. Ray Davies was in astounding form, Jools Holland and his 18-piece big band were mind- blowing, and Seasick Steve a gonzo-beat discovery, was the real deal. John Hiatt was for me, a humbling experience, True Live and Sinead O'Connor were both breathtaking - Buddy Guy, inspiring and infectious - and wow, the list just goes on."
This is very encouraging for the band who at the moment are writing their second album, which will be released by the end of the year.
Prior to the release of the album, due to the high demand from the local fans, Tribali will only give two performances this summer, one in Malta and one in Gozo.
