Fujitsu Siemens Computers has announced its new Lifebook S7210 notebook optimised for superior performance and reliability while travelling. It uses integrated UMTS/HSUPA for fast data transfer while travelling.

Weighing only 2.2 kilogrammes, the Lifebook S7210 is a light 14.1" notebook with a modular bay. It comes with an Intel Centrino Duo processor technology with Intel 965GM chipset, integrated WLAN and Bluetooth, as well as UMTS/HSUPA.

The manufacturer says this notebook operates for an entire work-day due to its second battery and standard EcoButton which, when pressed, reduces the processor clock frequency and monitor brightness. This further extends battery lifetime by 10 per cent.

The integrated ConfCamera fully supports on-the-fly video conferences, enhanced by built-in digital microphones that suppress ambient noise - equally useful when making VoIP calls.

In terms of security, this notebook has a biometric fingerprint sensor and a built-in smartcard.
