The GRTU secretary claimed financial compensation for all those retail outlets that were deprived of their usual income on March 8, 2008 due to the general election, because their premises were within the polling booth locations.

We business entities located in lower Rue D'Argens have been fenced in since the middle of January 2008, and the date of completion has been postponed from one week to the other. I have been calling ADT but an answering machine keeps telling me that all their agents are busy and that they will tend to my message as soon as one of the agents is available. In 10 days of phoning one agent replied and promised to give me an answer within a few minutes. But more days passed and still no replies.

My questions are:

Why is no one held responsible for such delays?

How come such a main road was not given its due importance for completion?

Why was work not done with a time frame and the contractor made to work overtime if the time frame was not met?

What say did the local council have in this project?

If the GRTU felt that they should ask for compensation for one day lost, what are we due for more than 100 days lost ?
