I refer to the article Beating Allegations: Fatal Fall At Police Depot Gives Rise To Questions (April 28) where it was stated that the incident in question happened on April 8 and the police issued a press release a day later. For correctness sake, please note that the incident in question happened at about 6 p.m. on April 9.

Secondly, the police issued a press release regarding the incident shortly after 7 p.m. of that same day and not a day later as erronously stated in the article. Also, the update mentioned in the article was issued later on the same evening.

This was clearly repeated in a press release issued on April 27, when the first media report was published regarding the current allegations being made.

Editorial note: The article in fact put the day of the press release as April 9, the day of the fall.
