Rubbish collection in Attard

Could I cordially ask Patricia Falzon (Rubbish Collection, April 28) if she has ever passed through villages that have their refuse collected in the afternoon?

She would have noticed that garbage is left at every corner from the early hours of the morning for cats and dogs to have a ball.

This rubbish, apart from being an eyesore, emits a foul smell especially during the summer months, until it is collected in the late afternoon.

I have been mayor of Attard since 1998.

This is the first-ever complaint that our local council has received or read about regarding our waste collection.
