CAMILLERI. On April 28, at St Vincent de Paul residence, CARMELA, née Kind, of Lija, aged 94, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Tessie, widow of Joseph Xuereb, Maurice and his wife Rose, Josephine, Doris and her husband Emanuel Portelli, Mary and her husband Moses Zammit, Felix and his wife Karen, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul residence today at 3 p.m. for Lija parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30 p.m., followed by interment at Lija cemetery.
Lord, grant her eternal rest.

He leaves to mourn his loss his daughter Marianne and her husband Joseph Aquilina, his grandchildren Conrad and Maria Christa, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2 p.m. for St Joseph parish church, Msida, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Fergħa Ewkaristika, Marsa, will be greatly appreciated.

DEBONO. On April 26, at Mater Dei Hospital, GEORGE of Sliema, aged 83, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Josephine, née Kissaun, his children Walter and his wife Lyn, Sue and her husband John Anderson, Marie and her husband Patrick Galea, and Edward and his wife Lena, his grandchildren Mark, Matthew, Melissa, Amy, Peter, Emma, Tricia, Jenna, Philip, Adriana and Julia, his great-grandson Louis George, his sister Rosie, his brother Anton and his wife Mariucca, his in-laws Mary, Hilda, Helen, Nanette and Margaret and their respective families, other dear relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.15 a.m. for St Gregory's parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.45 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated.

GALEA. On April 28, at St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, ALFRED, aged 45, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his beloved mother Carmen, née Lauri, his sister Noella and her husband Anthony Briffa and his niece Carmen Bernardette, his brother-in-law Bruno Grasso of Giarre, Sicily, his uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St James Capua Hospital today at 1.45 p.m. for St Cajetan parish church, Ħamrun, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Fra Diegu Home, Ħamrun, and Dar Sagra Familja, Żabbar, will be greatly appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.

MAGRO. On April 28, at Mater Dei Hospital, DOLORES, née Bonello, of Rabat, 10 days short of her 93rd birthday, after a short illness borne with Christian fortitude. Very deeply mourned by her children Mgr Sylvester Magro OFM, Bishop of Benghazi, Mary and her husband Joseph Casha, Paul, president of L'Isle Adam Band Club, Ġemma and her husband Joseph Azzopardi, Joe and his wife Pauline, Agnes and her husband Joseph Said, Carmen, widow of Charles Farrugia, and Rita, 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.
Mass praesente cadavere will be said tomorrow at 4.30 p.m. at her beloved Ta' Ġieżu church, Rabat, followed by interment at St Margaret Cemetery, Rabat. No flowers by request but donations to Dar ta' San Ġużepp, Ħamrun, will be appreciated. Her children thank God for her long life and love.

MERCIECA. On April 28, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANTHONY MERCIECA, BEM (ex-Staff Sergeant), of Gżira, aged 82, passed away peacefully after a long illness bravely borne. Deeply mourned by his wife Kathleen, his sons Daniel and his wife Monica, Stephen and his wife Carmen, his daughter Mary Rose and her husband Victor Rutter, his beloved grandchildren and his adored great-grandson.

ZAMMIT TABONA. On April 27, at Mater Dei Hospital, LINA, née Grima, widow of Joseph, in her 86th year, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church after a short illness bravely borne. Very deeply mourned by her sisters Mary, widow of Joseph Coleiro and Josephine, her brother Enzo and his wife Sara, her sisters-in-law Miriam, widow of her brother Francis, Margaret, widow of her brother John, Maria, widow of her brother Harry, Claire, widow of her brother George, her sisters-in-law Doris Zammit Tabona and Maria, widow of Francis Zammit Tabona, her adored god-children and her many beloved nephews and nieces, her dedicated carers, other relatives and friends.
We thank God for her life and love.

Bank supports computer trainees
HSBC, in collaboration with TCTC, specialists in computer training and educational software, and the Attard local council, is supporting some 200 students in the area to follow an internet course free of charge.
Applicants for the Learnweb project will learn basic internet concepts, like sending and receiving e-mails, researching, downloading of pictures, and the use of sending free mobile messages from the internet.
Applicants may also benefit from a 50 per cent discount if they follow up the course with Learnweb II - how to use internet banking, e-government services, computer protection and security, chatting, downloading of examination past papers, e-ticketing and e-buying.
Traffic diversions
Triq Durumblat, Mosta will be closed to traffic from Triq Il-Mitħna up to Triq It-Torba until Saturday due to infrastructural works.
Traffic heading towards Attard will be diverted to Triq Il-Mitħna while traffic coming from Triq It-Torba to Rabat will be diverted to Triq Il-Gradilja and to Triq Il-Pitkal. Traffic coming from Triq Santa Katerina in the direction of Mosta or Rabat will be diverted to Triq It-Torba or, Triq Il-Gradilja and to Triq Il-Pitkal.

The radio station 89.7 Bay has launched its new website www.bay.com.mt. The site gives information on the local and international music scene, competitions and youth targeted events in Malta. One can listen to Bay radio live from the site.

The Diocesan Committee of Our Lady of Fatima will be holding a Eucharistic/Marian celebration at the Home for the Clergy, Triq Anġlu Grima, Fleur-de-Lys, Birkirkara on Saturday, starting with Mass at 5 p.m.

The Royal Naval Association (Malta Branch) will be holding its annual memorial and wreath-laying ceremony at Pietà Marina Gardens, near the Royal Naval Memorial, on Sunday at 11 a.m. All ex-RN personnel are invited.
