Gulia to seek deputy leader role

Labour MP Gavin Gulia formally announced today that he will stand for election for the post of MLP deputy leader for party affairs.

"I believe that the Labour Party has the potential to win the support of the majority through reformed policies and structures which will appeal to more people," Dr Gulia said in a statement.

He said he had been holding 'direct dialogue' with party delegates, committees and branches throughout Malta and intended to maintain such close contact.

He said he wanted to dedicate his 12 years in Parliament and his ministerial experience to give a wider dimension to the role of deputy leader for party affairs by giving a new vision and role to the party branches.
