Milan set ultimatum for Ronaldinho transfer

Milan have set an ultimatum to Barcelona for the transfer of Ronaldinho and said their offer of £10m will be the last even though Barcelona are asking four times as much for their Brazilian star.

Although FIFA agent Ernesto Bronzetti said Barca usually ask for at least double their real target, even £20m is considered too high after Ronaldinho's poor campaign. Personal terms have already been agreed with Milan and Ronaldinho showed his desire to join the Serie A club.

FA ask for TV footage of Chelsea fracas

The FA will request CCTV footage of the fracas between several Manchester United players and Chelsea ground staff after the teams' Stamford Bridge Premier League game on Saturday.

United players Patrice Evra, Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Gerard Pique, Park Ji-sung and John O'Shea were going through a warm-down after Chelsea's 2-1 victory when the row developed after ground staff asked them to move to another area of the pitch.

Chelsea security staff pulled the gesticulating parties apart and yesterday's newspapers carried pictures of the incident.

"We will obviously be asking Chelsea to let us see their CCTV footage of the incident," an FA spokesman told the BBC.

"This will have nothing to do with the referee's report. He would have been in his dressing room, a long way from the incident."

The fracas was the final act of a controversial afternoon as Chelsea won with a late penalty to join league leaders United on 81 points with two games remaining.

Ramos says Berbatov can go for right price

Juande Ramos, the Tottenham manager, told reporters that Dimitar Berbatov could leave if the club's asking price is met. The striker has been linked with a host of clubs, including Man. United and Real Madrid.

Ramos said: "We know the situation of Berbatov and we are calm about it. If a team comes along and pays the asking price the chairman wants then possibly yes, but we're delighted to have him here."

Berbatov, 27, joined Tottenham from Bayer Leverkusen for £10.9m in the summer of 2006.

Hleb unaware of transfer rumours

Alexandre Hleb said he knows nothing about the transfer rumours, linking him with a move to Inter who have openly declared their interest in recruiting the Arsenal midfielder.

Hleb, 26, will have two years of his Arsenal deal to run this summer and FIFA regulations would allow him to buy out the remainder of the contract.

Hleb said: "All I can say is that I enjoy the game here and enjoy playing for Arsenal. There is more to come from this team and from me."

Arsenal bought Hleb from Stuttgart for £11.2million in July 2005.

Sanz bid for Bari

After his failed bid to buy out Parma, Lorenzo Sanz, the former Real Madrid supremo, is about to table an offer for Serie B side Bari.

The Spanish businessman had already hit the headlines last year when he reached an agreement to buy out Parma, but the deal collapsed at the last minute.

Bari were last in Serie A back in 2000-01 and have had many financial problems in the recent past.

Club owner attacked after poor showing

The owner of Mansfield Town was attacked after the club probably lost their fight against demotion from League Two in England. Keith Haslam was taken to hospital for an MRI scan after he sustained injuries at Field Mill following Mansfield's 0-1 defeat against Rotherham.

The side are now almost certain to be relegated to non-league football.

Hundreds of supporters protested after the final whistle chanting "Haslam out". Police and stewards had to remove some fans from the directors' box at Field Mill.

Drogba goes down easily - Benitez

Rafael Benitez wants the officials in Wednesday's Champions League semi-final second leg at Chelsea to clamp down on what he sees as Didier Drogba's theatrics.

"With Drogba, it's important to have a good referee... he goes down too easily," the Spaniard said.

"It's very impressive. I have a lot of clips of him from over the years and he surprises me. After four years, I expected it."

Benitez revealed he had compiled clips of Drogba during Liverpool's numerous matches against Chelsea since he became manager.

"We've played against Chelsea 19 games and every time I have collected some clips of Drogba," Benitez said.

Beckham delighted with derby win

David Beckham was delighted to taste derby victory for the first time since moving to Major League Soccer after his Los Angeles Galaxy beat Chivas USA 5-2 last weekend. The midfielder helped LA avenge two heavy defeats to the same opponents last season and saw his side climb to an overall record of 2-2-1 and second place in the Western Conference.

"It was a very good performance against a good opponent," he said.

"It is always very satisfying to win a derby game because of what it means to the club and the fans. It could be the best night I have had since I came over here. I am delighted for everyone at the Galaxy and my team-mates."
