New chairman for institute

Philip von Brockdorff has been appointed chairman of the Institute of Public Administration (IPAM), jointly run by the Public Service and the University of Malta.

Dr von Brockdorff, who is replacing the Principal Permanent Secretary as chair of the institute, has the task of intensifying and concluding the preparations for the setting up of the Centre for Policy, Research and Training.

In the last budget, the government provided funds for the setting up of this centre which is to be developed in partnership with the University of Malta.
