Island Hotels Group awards ceremony

A grand reception took place at the ballroom of the Radisson SAS Bay Point Resort in St Julian's where 100 members of staff of Island Hotels Group received awards in recognition of their loyalty and length of service ranging between five and 20 years.

While 33 employees received a five-year award, a total of 58 employees were presented with the ten-year award and a further eight employees received a 15-year award with one receiving a 20-year award.

During a short address to those present, Winston Zahra expressed his pride that the group has always based its principles on the fact that the staff is the most important asset of the company and are the main reason behind its success. He stated that this remains at the core of the company despite the fact that over the past 21 years the group has grown from 20 employees to over 1,300.

Nazzareno Vassallo, chairman of the group, said that he looked forward to seeing each individual develop with the group during the years ahead.

Together with their partners, employees were treated to an evening reception. The directors of the group presented the awardees with a commemorative plaque and also a voucher for use within the Island Hotels Group outlets as a gesture of appreciation and recognition of their loyalty and length of service.
