A book entitled Sicily and Malta, the two islands of the Grand Tour, published as part of an EU funded programme, was inaugurated at Palazzolo Acreide in Sicily.

The book was co-ordinated by Ray Bondin and Francesco Gringeri Pantani and contains 20 essays by Maltese and Sicilian authors on various themes linked to the contacts between the two islands.

The Maltese authors include Albert Ganado, Michael Ellul, Anthony Bonanno, Antonio Espinoza Rodriquez, Dun Gwann Azzopardi, Emmanuel Magro Conti, Sandro Debono, Fr George Aquilina and Michael Mercieca.

The book, published by Midsea Books, was first inaugurated in Malta and then in Sicily where a seminar was held to discuss the book.
