AEGEE-Valletta, the University-based local branch of the Association des Etats Généraux des Etudiants de l'Europe (European Students' Forum), recently organised a business breakfast for representatives of English language schools, post-secondary schools, MCAST, the National Youth Council (KNZ), the European Union Programmes Agency and the Education Ministry to discuss how they the various entities could help each other to promote values of democracy, a borderless Europe, intercultural dialogue and tolerance.
During the event, video footage of AEGEE-Valletta activities was shown, followed an open discussion that resulted in a pool of ideas on how a network between these entities could be set up.
AEGEE-Valletta president Pierre Vassallo La Rosa stressed that participating in such activities "offers students the opportunity to add value to their academic life and gain skills that would never be acquired if they just studied and followed courses".
