Private training organisation Future Focus has opened its first overseas office in Luton, UK. Managing director Rosanne Galea said this is in line with the company's overseas expansion strategy.
The UK office will offer training to its international clients. Students will have a choice of whether to study in Malta or the UK. It is also the intention of Future Focus to support Maltese companies interested in selling products and services in the UK.
Luton has been chosen because it is not as expensive as central London, yet it is easy to commute to London from Luton. It also offers good airline connections.
Future Focus recently expanded its range of courses and represents three UK universities and two colleges. It will also offer training programmes developed in Malta that are now accredited in the UK by UK awarding bodies.
This will mean that programmes developed locally will be sold internationally.
Maltese and overseas students will be given a choice of whether to attend training on a full-time or part-time basis. Some courses will be offered through e-learning.
Future Focus also participates in a number of EU funded projects and the UK office will be involved in such projects. The organisation is also seeking partnerships for new projects.
