South African wines

In line with its efforts to promote the culture of wine and in conjunction with Wines of South Africa, Winebox is launching the 118 Wine Route whereby it will celebrate the national days of a number of countries by holding a wine fiesta featuring wines from the particular country involved.

"The first country we shall be visiting is South Africa as it celebrates Freedom Day, and the public is invited to join us on the symbolic 'journey' through the varied cultures of the world. Tomorrow we will be tasting some of the great South African wines already on the market in Malta, nibble some eats to go with the wine and also view an art exhibition," Joséf Bonello, of Winebox, said.

118 Wine Route South Africa will take place tomorrow between 5 and 8 p.m. at Ir-Razzett L-Abjad, Tal-Balal. Entrance tickets cost €3 (Lm1.29) per person or €5 (Lm2.15) per couple, while 118 wines club members enter for free. Visitors will also be able to get more information about the 118 wines club, 118 wines travel plans for May and other wine-related events.

For more information one can send an e-mail to info@brainbox.com.mt or call on 7989 0118.
