Junior Chamber International (JCI) has appointed David Pace to its Strategic Planning Committee, which is entrusted with outlining the road map for the organisation which has over 200,000 members worldwide.
The appointment to the eight-member committee was endorsed by Graham Hanlon, world president of this federation of young leaders and entrepreneurs.
On a recent visit to Malta, Mr Hanlon said this was in recognition of "the high level of professionalism the local operations achieved in recent years, which has attracted significant international attention".
Mr Pace joined JCI Malta in 2004, being appointed general secretary in 2005 and elected deputy president in 2006. He served as national president last year and is currently immediate past president sitting on the 2008 JCI Malta National Board of Directors.
The main focus for Mr Pace in his new role is to ensure that the organisation, which spans over 5,000 local organisations in 116 countries and territories, enhances its relevance as the organisation of choice for all professionally qualified, entrepreneurial-minded, business-engaged young people.
