Palazzo Parisio in Naxxar hosted over 160 of Malta's most stylish as Muse featured its spring/summer 2008 collection to raise funds for victims of the Naxxar fireworks tragedy.

While enjoying a lavish tea, guests viewed the collection, which was showcased in the beautiful, walled gardens of the palace.

In line with this season's trends, vibrant colour was apparent, together with modern classics of grey, black and white.

Organised by Muse's owner Carina Camilleri and Justine Pergola, from Palazzo Parisio, the event provided an opportunity to help those who were affected by the fireworks blast that killed two, demolishing three homes and damaging others. A steel and cultured freshwater pearl necklace was donated by Vascas for a raffle, which aimed to raise about €500 (Lm214.65).

"We have been developing plans for tea at the palace for a while now," Ms Pergola said, "so when Carina came along with her thoughts on a fashion show, I loved the idea!"

The Muse collection included Joseph and Maxmara for women and J. Lindeberg and C&R for men, together with some unisex Commes de Garcons.

The event was supported by other known brands in Malta including Optika in Sliema, Jasper Conran perfume, La Prairie beauty products, make-up by Deborah and hair by Pierre Camille.
