Israeli air strike kills Palestinian in Gaza

An Israeli air strike killed a Palestinian civilian in the northern Gaza Strip, residents said.

An Israeli army spokeswoman confirmed an air strike against militants in the northern Gaza town of Beit Hanoun but said she had no details about casualties.

Residents said a missile fired by an Israeli aircraft exploded near a house, killing a civilian. Israeli aircraft carried out a separate strike against militants in the southern Gaza Strip, wounding two Islamic Jihad gunmen, the militant group and medical workers said.
