These regulations have the scope of limiting environmental degradation through appropriate construction management practices. The objectives include:

• Minimise nuisance to neighbours and the public;

• Reduce discharges to the environment including dust emissions and spillages of building materials;

• Improve the visual impact of construction sites and their immediate environment.

Are there any other legislations that currently regulate construction management sites?

Yes, legislation regulating specific aspects of construction sites that already exist includes:

• Damage to third party property: Civil Code Chap, 16 sections 1031, 1032, 1033, 1037, 1038, 1041;

• Employer responsibility for health and safety of all persons who may be affected by works: Occupational Health and Safety Authority Act section 6.
