Suspended jail term

A Libyan national residing in Pembroke was given a two-year jail term suspended for four years after he admitted to defrauding several people.

Arab Diaeddin, 40, admitted to defrauding several people out of €4,194 (Lm1, 800) on and before May, 3, 2006. Magistrate Saviour Demicoli took into consideration the fact that he had fully cooperated with the police in their investigations.

Police Inspector Joseph Cordina prosecuted.
