Alan Cutajar, 31, Samuel Borg, 21, and Paul Pace, 38, all from San Ġwann pleaded not guilty to stealing the cash from the shop last Sunday.

The court heard that Mr Borg had been about to start a drug rehabilitation programme with the OASI Foundation when his father passed away on Monday.
The prosecution, headed by Police Inspector Bernard Spiteri, asked for the men to be remanded in custody.
