The Times on Saturday reported that "to make matters more galling for the hunters, migrating birds are said to have been seen in greater numbers than usual".

Could it be that it merely seems that there are more birds than usual this season for the simple logical reason that for once the birds are not all being shot down or trapped by our poor deprived hunters?
