Waste carriers' emissions

I would like to show my appreciation that agreement has been finally reached between the GRTU and the government on the fees payable to waste carriers for the commencement of the scheme.

It is also worth noting that the rate payable will also be indexed according to the diesel supplement and that the fees agreed upon take into consideration fuel increases.

In this respect, I hope, however, that the talks also centred around pollution emissions and the monitoring of the quality of diesel used to ensure that there is no adulteration and to hopefully eliminate the substantial emissions for which waste carriers are one of the main contributors to the detriment of our health.
