Search for man involved in road accident
The police are searching for a Libyan man who they believe was a passenger in the car which crashed near Mater Dei Hospital on the Birkirkara bypass on Saturday night, leaving its Libyan driver critically injured. Police sources said they suspect the man walked away from the accident site and that he is in Malta without a residence permit.
In the accident, a Fiat Punto ended up on its side after it hit an electricity pole.
The driver was still in a critical condition yesterday.
