The last in the cultural tours series for this season will be a boat ride around Marsamxett and Grand Harbour on May 4.

A commentary about the history of Valletta and the Three Cities in connection with the Great Siege of 1565 and the blitz of 1942 will be provided.

Other information will focus on forts, battlements and creeks which can best be admired from the sea. Refreshments will be served.

The monthly tours are organised by the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts, in collaboration with the Malta Tourism Authority and Heritage Malta. The organisers extend their appreciation to the Malta Union of Tourist Guides for their support.

The meeting places are in Floriana and Sliema. From Floriana, transport will leave (next to the Independence Monument) at 8.45 a.m.

The meeting place in Sliema will be opposite Nazzarene church at 8.45 a.m. Tickets cost €10.48 (Lm4.50) for adults and €8.15 (Lm3.50) for senior citizens and children. Booking, together with payment, may be made by not later than noon of April 30 at the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts, 230 Republic Street, Valletta.
