Fire at Attard farmhouse

A fire broke out at farmhouse in Attard on Sunday night, spreading to bales of hay which were stashed nearby.

The occupied dwelling had to be evacuated but no one was injured in the incident.

The police said they were informed about the fire, which occurred in Ħal Qormi Street, 20 minutes after midnight.

The blaze was controlled by personnel from the fire-fighting section of the Civil Protection Department.

The police are trying to determine the cause.
