Father forgives son

A father yesterday forgave his son for causing him what the police described as a serious injury.

Magistrate Edwina Grima heard the compilation of evidence against Christian Pirotta who is charged with seriously injuring his father Louis during a family argument.

Taking the witness stand, Louis Pirotta, 51, said he did not want to testify against his son and that he had forgiven him. He added that the injuries were not as serious as the prosecution was alleging.

Testifying, Police Inspector Kevin Farrugia said that according to law, if an injury is sustained on the face and is visible, it is considered serious.
