Manwel Dimech bridge reopens at last

Both spans of Manwel Dimech bridge have finally reopened after a rebuilding project mired in political controversy and delay. The €6 million project was taken in hand almost a year and a half ago and was meant to be completed last September. The ADT expressed regret for the delays.

The speed limit on the bridge has been set at 60km/hr both ways.

Workers still have to remove scaffolding from under the structure, rehabilitate the valley and rebuild some walls.
