A man from Birkirkara was this morning charged with defiling a girl aged between six and eight between 2006 and 2007 in Marsascala.

The man was charged with defiling the girl, holding her against her will, committing a violent act against her and offending public morals. Presiding over the case Magistrate Jaqueline Padovani heard the case behind closed doors.

Police Inspector Raymond Aquilina prosecuted.

Lawyer Joe Mifsud appeared parte civile.
